A New Discovery:
I found a new blog that has wonderful vegetarian recipes. "Cheap Healthy Good is a blog dedicated to the advancement of frugal, nutritious, ethically-minded food in everyday life"
Emily's Ethiopian Vegetable Stew
Prep Time: 15 Min
Ingredients:
3/4 cup and 3 tablespoons butter
7-1/2 onions, chopped
3-3/4 stalks celery, chopped
7-1/2 cloves garlic, chopped
3-3/4 medium heads cabbage, cut into squares
3-3/4 (14.5 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes, with liquid
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion, celery, and garlic and saute for 3 to 5 minutes, or until translucent. Stir in cabbage, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes. Pour in tomatoes and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover pan and cook over medium heat for 30 to 40 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.

Epicurious's Peak Season Map
Today I found something really awesome on Epicurious. They have an interactive map that allows you to choose your state; it tells you the foods in season in your area!
Here in Michigan apparently only cabbage and broccoli are in season. Which would make a very very sad meal.
This just makes me wish I lived in North Carolina where strawberries are in season.
